This is a client-facing monitor from Howe Conservation Solutions. A solar-powered logger in the field measures the water every five minutes and posts the reading to this site over LTE. Use it to see whether the water is high or low, warming or cooling, and whether dissolved-ion chemistry has shifted after rain, runoff, or a dry spell.
It is a condition dashboard, not a laboratory report. Values are provisional field measurements from a continuously deployed CTD sensor.
Field equipment
An EnviroDIY Mayfly station with a Meter Hydros 21 / CTD-10 sensor records conductivity, water temperature, and depth at the installation. A real-time clock keeps time; LTE posts each completed reading to WordPress.
What clients see
Water level shows whether the feature is filling or dropping. Temperature describes seasonal warmth. Specific conductance is a fast indicator of dissolved materials after storms, groundwater inflow, or dry-weather concentration.
How to use it
Compare the last day, week, and month. Sudden jumps in conductance after rain, a falling water level in drought, or a warm stretch in summer are the patterns this station is meant to make visible.

Thermal conditions
Water level is the depth measured at the CTD, in meters. On a pond or wetland it tracks stage. On a stream it is depth at the sensor. It is not a flood forecast and not a surveyed water-surface elevation.
Water temperature is measured in the water. Warm summer water can favor algal growth; this page does not issue a HAB or recreation advisory.
Dissolved ions (specific conductance) rise when more salts and minerals are in the water — after runoff, groundwater inflow, or evaporation — and often fall when rain dilutes the waterbody. It is a screening indicator, not a pollutant identification.
Equipment temperature and station power describe logger health so you can tell whether the station is operating, not a water-quality result.
